Our Year Experience is for students looking to take a full gap year.
The Year Experience is comprised of 10-weeks of volunteering and service learning, 10-weeks of skill building in San Fransisco, and a practical 12-week experience (an internship, apprenticeship, or personal project).

Choose a purposeful gap semester that connects you with résumé-building experiences while sharpening the skills that matter most like self-advocacy, resilience, and effective communication. The program also features mentorship from professional coaches, a virtual volunteer experience at a non-profit organization, and a professional externship.

Flexible Experiences

Our new series of flexible experiences are short-term intensives focused on a particular skill group or learning objective. From designing your life to foundational essentials to workplace skills to practical experiences in a field you're interested in, these fast-track programs are designed to deliver the best Year On has to offer in a format that can easily be added to your existing schedule. Take the one you're most interested in, or stack them all consecutively to supercharge your learning.

A five week fast-track that helps students build essential skills to map out where they want to go and how to get there.

Special combined double program: 
Foundational Skills & Workplace

Perfect as a follow-up to Design, these two five-week programs are being offered consecutively over ten weeks. Tuition for the combined program is $3,990. Participants will focus on a set of difference-making skills that are adaptable to any major or career, then build a professional portfolio and sharpen the skills needed to target, land, and thrive in a job.

In this five-week program, participants will learn and practice concrete skills in partnership with one of three leading companies: Facebook (digital marketing), Asana (project management), and Salesforce (customer relationship management). Learning is supported by one-on-one mentorship from Year On coaches along with community-building events each week.
