It's easy to register for a Year On program.
Today, young people are faced with overwhelming options and information, and traditional schooling systems do not adequately prepare them to navigate our increasingly complex world. Year On helps students step more fully into themselves as leaders of their own lives — to learn more about who they are, what they value, and how to take steps forward to build a path that works for them.
Our registration process gives you insight into what it's like to be on our program. We ask you to reflect on who you are, where you want to go, and how to get there. These responses help us understand your interests, motivations, and dreams to determine if you will thrive in the community here at Year On.
Our fellows come to us from all different backgrounds and join our program for a variety of reasons. Whether you're a high school senior looking to take time after graduation or a college student needing a semester to explore your interests – our programs give you the structure and guidance to gain confidence, clarity, and direction for your next steps.

“Sure enough my gap year exceeded all my expectations. I became more open-minded, comfortable in my own skin, better at handling transitions, driven, confident in my ability to succeed, willing to fail, and so much more. I have a broader perspective on how I want to tackle college and my life in general. Taking a gap year is hands down the best decision I ever made and I can assure anyone that they’ll feel the same if they do it.”
